hi hi and blueberry brownies

Hi,

I was thinking about this blog. I know I don't blog very often. I was thinking what I can blog about. I don't want to share my life here. Most of it, it's very boring, haha, I don't have any interesting parts to share with you. I guess it's good thing. I don't want to have any drama in my life. :-D So I thought why not copying my sister. She has food blog. We share the same interest, we like to try a new recipe to see if it's any good or ewwww.

My sister found this recipe for blueberry brownies. She was skeptical about this. We have a tons of frozen blueberries and I want to get rid of them. I don't want to make blueberry muffins. I'm tired of them. Ohhh, it reminds me, I need to share you my favourite recipe for banana blueberry muffins. It's CHAMP!

Ok, back to the blueberry brownies. I went and made it. All I can say is G-O-S-H! It tastes so amazing. So moist and drool-worthy! My sis doesn't feel the same thing. She's not that fond of cinnamon. I love it!

Here's the recipe, and sorry, no pictures of the brownies. I will make it again next year (2011), and take pictures of it and post them here. I promise. :-D

Blueberry Brownies
Adapted from Elizabeth OlsonYields

1 8x8 baking dish
1/2 cup butter, melted (vegetable/olive oil may also be substituted)
1 cup white sugar
1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 8x8 baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter (I used vegetable oil and it tastes fine), sugar, and vanilla. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addtion. In a small bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt. Slowly stir the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in the blueberries and chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Do not overcook (so watch them like a hawk)! It didn't take 35 mins for me. It took like 50 mins. I have to check again and again with the cake tester (same thing as toothpick) until it came out clean. Not sure if it's just my oven. Important thing use the cake tester/toothpick to make sure the brownies are cooked.
The red words are my own word. I found this recipe from this link, http://chocolatteandtea.blogspot.com/2010/11/blueberry-brownies.html

Enjoying the baking. :)
